Energy sector: CM invites Saudis to invest   

The consul-general said that he will take up the matter with the business community of Saudi Arabia

KARACHI: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that there is vast potential of investment in the energy sector. “I would be glad to welcome the Saudi investors to grab the opportunity under any mode whether it is built, operate and transfer or public private partnership,” he said while speaking to Saudi consul-general Mohammad Abdullah Abdul Daim, who called on him to discuss investment opportunities at CM House on Thursday. The CM said that the investors of Saudi Arabia have many opportunities to invest in Sindh. “We have coal deposits to generate electricity and have wind and solar energy corridors where power generation plants could be installed within a year,” he said, adding that the investment of Saudi Arabia in Sindh will be a blessing for the people. The consul-general said that he will take up the matter with the business community of Saudi Arabia.
