Epidemic: Suspected Congo virus case at ATH 

He was brought to ATH with high-grade fever, body and stomach pain

ABBOTTABAD: A man who is believed to have contracted Congo virus has been hospitalised at Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH), Abbottabad. An official privy to the development told The Express Tribune the patient showed symptoms of Congo virus and has been isolated. His blood sample has been sent to National Institute of Health, Islamabad for further analysis. According to hospital officials, the patient has been identified as Naveed, a 25-year-old who is a resident of Nathiagali. He was brought to ATH with high-grade fever, body and stomach pain. The doctors of ATH were not available to comment on the matter. However, officials dealing with the media confirmed the report.
