Triple murder case: Man sentenced to life term in jail

The convict had murdered three persons in a family feud three years ago

CHAKWAL: A local court has sentenced a man to a life term in jail in a triple murder case.

According to sources, Additional District and Sessions judge Naseer Ahmed on Friday convicted Ghulam Shabbir, a resident of Thooha Bahadur, in the triple murder case registered against him at the Chakwal Saddar police station three years ago.

The convict had murdered three persons and fled to Saudi Arabia. The court had declared him proclaimed offender. He came back and was arrested by the Chakwal police a year ago.

Meanwhile, the Chakwal police separately arrested a man for creating a nuisance. The Saddar police arrested Ejaz Hussain, a resident of Samanabad on the complaint of Fahad Munir for dancing naked in public.

According to the complainant, he was about to leave his shop when he along with his friends Zafran and Zahoor, saw the suspect dancing naked in public disturbing the residents of the locality.

Hussain with the help of his friends overpowered the suspect and handed him over to police. The police registered a case against him and started an investigation.

Arms seized

The Chakwal police in different operations seized a big cache of weapons and ammunition and arrested six suspects.

According to the police sources, the Kallar Kahar police in a swoop on arms smugglers arrested Javed Hussain and seized a 30-bore pistol with five bullets.

The Dhadial police arrested Khurram Shehzad and seized a 30-bore pistol with three bullets. The same police arrested Muhammad Zubair and confiscated a 30-bore unlicensed pistol with three bullets from his possession. The police separately arrested Shehzad and seized a 12-bore gun from him.

The Choa Sayedan Shah police arrested Muhammad Javed and seized a 30-bore pistol and four bullets from his possession. The same police arrested Azizullah and seized a 9mm pistol and with three rounds from his possession.

The police have registered separate cases against the suspects and started an investigation.
