TIMERGARA: Residents of Malikabad Balambat in Timergara have voiced a series of concerns over the supply of contaminated water in the region.

A large number of locals voiced their reservations during a meeting held by the residents of Malikabad Balambat on Sunday where they spoke to media representatives. Residents complained that a sewage supply line has been broken. As a result, contaminated water has been mixed with the clean water which is being supplied to their houses.

According to locals, their children have fallen sick after consuming contaminated water and many of them fear an outbreak of hazardous diseases. Residents said the relevant authorities have failed to address their plight. Many of them said they had contacted the chief municipal officer. However, he remained tight-lipped over the issue. They urged the chief municipal officer and district nazim to address the matter with immediate effect.
