Corporate corner: Soneri Bank earns Rs1.175  billion in profit after tax

The bank’s net assets (including surplus) amounted to Rs18.07 billion as of June 30, 2016

KARACHI: Soneri Bank Limited posted a profit before tax of Rs2,048.66 million and profit after tax of Rs1,175.51 million for the half year ended June 30, 2016. These amounts are higher than the corresponding period last year by 7.07% and 6.13%, respectively. The board in its 150th meeting held on August 16, 2016, approved the Bank’s half yearly financial statements. During the period, deposits grew by 9.18%, closing at Rs202.22 billion (December 2015: Rs185.22 billion). Net advances grew by 3.47% to Rs115.88 billion (December 2015: Rs 112.00 billion). The bank’s net assets (including surplus) amounted to Rs18.07 billion as of June 30, 2016.
