Appointment: Four senior law officers to oversee investigation

ISLAMABAD: Advocate General Shakilur Rehman Khan on Saturday directed four senior law officers to supervise the investigation of all kidnapping cases involving children.

Additional AGPs Razzaq A Mirza, Rashid Hafeez, Mirza Saleem Baig, and Malik Mumtaz Akhtar would give guidelines to investigation officers concerned in cases registered under Sections 363 (punishment for kidnapping), 365A (kidnapping or abducting for extorting property, valuable security), 365-B (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel for marriage) and 496-A (enticing or taking away or detaining with criminal intent a woman) of Pakistan Penal Code. The four law officers were asked to submit weekly progress report to the AGP.
