According to a copy of the results available with The Express Tribune, Paghunda Mayar of JCW was the top scorer in the annual board exams. She scored 1,008 out of 1,100 marks.Paghunda is the daughter of Mardan district nazim Himayatullah Mayar. She was followed by Syeda Batool Haider and Amina Khan, who attend the same college, both scored 1,007 marks.
On the cards: Women members can spend 70% of allocated ADP funds
The third position was clinched by Zainab Nawaz, also from JCW, and Safina Tanveer of Islamia College for Girls University, Peshawar. Both of them score 1,003 marks.
Group wise
In the pre-engineering group, Assad Sultan of Islamia College University clinched first position with 1,000 marks. He was followed by Muhammad Shadman Khan of Islamia College Peshawar who scored 985 marks Shafaq Tauqir of JCW and Habibullah of Islamia College who both scored 984 marks.
In the general science group, Aiman Ayub of Government Girls Degree College Bacha Khan Peshawar secured first position with 937 marks. He was followed by Salma Noor of JCW – who scored 935 marks – and Mahanoor Javed of JCW – who earned 925 marks.
In the humanities Group, Shakeeba Altaf of Government Frontier College for Women Peshawar bagged first position with 888 marks followed by Zeemad Ahmad, a private candidate, who clinched 886 marks. The third position was secured by Uzma of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Nishtar Abad Peshawar. She scored 881 marks.

Passing marks
According to a copy of the results, of the 49,149 candidates who appeared in the examinations, at least 38,351 cleared the exam successfully and the overall passing percentage was 78%. However, a majority of the top 20 positions were secured by JCW.
Badge of honour
While talking to journalists, Himayatullah Mayar said it is a great honour for him that his daughter got first position in the examination.
BISE Peshawar Chairperson Muhammad Shafi Afridi congratulated all students and their parents and distributed prizes among the positions holders.
