KARACHI: All four Pakistani cueists have qualified for the knockout stage of the IBSF 6-Red World Championship being played in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

In the last matches of the group stage, Sohail Shehzad beat India’s Bharat Sissodia 4-0 with scores of 41-22, 34-22, 39-13, 38-00.

Meanwhile, Asjad Iqbal suffered a 4-2 loss against Egypt’s Mohamed Hammouda by scores of 0-65 (52), 34-15(33), 0-48(48), 41-32, 31-10, 41-32, while Babar Masih went down 4-3 to Dharminder Lilly of India in his last group match.

It was Lilly who won the first frame, but Masih then won back-to-back frames to go 2-1 up. Masih led 3-2 at one stage, but Lilly eventually won with a scoreline of 54-10 (31), 14-31 (31), 0-64 (64), 35-29 (35), 02-48 (45), 36-24 (36), 30-18.
