The very stylish fashion designer, Sehrish Rehan, jots down her favourite summer trends to keep an eye out for this season

Pearl embellishments

I’m a huge fan of pearls, they add that instant glam and bling to any outfit without overdoing it and keep it feminine and classy at the same time. This season, we are experimenting with lots of pearl embellishments and pearl tassels.

High-low

High-low has got to be one of my favourite trends this season. I love the cool and edgy look the cut offers, with the best part being that it suits any body type!

Sleeve detailing

From peplum to exaggerated to cuffed to balloon, I think all these different sleeves add a real fun touch to any outfit!

Organza detailing

Organza has been all the rage this season and rightly so! So many cuts can only flow properly when using this fabric. However, with this heat it gets hard to make full organza outfits but organza detailing here and there is a definite trend we’ll be seeing.

Appliqué work

Floral appliqué work looks super-pretty, especially if done with white on pastel colours — another fabulous  trend to look out for.

Sheer

There will be lots of sheer detailing seen this summer, being channelled  through organza pleats, pants, necks and sleeves. It instantly adds an edge to a pretty-looking outfit.

Off-shoulder lace peplum shirts

In my latest collection, I have used classic lace fabric by adding modernity through off-shoulder peplum cuts! They can easily be worn for lunches with straight pants or with boot-cut pants to add a slightly formal touch.
