Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has reiterated his commitment to transform Pakistan into a welfare state that is devoid of corruption. He was speaking to the media during his visit to the residence of Syed Lahl Hussain Shah for condolence. Shah was the former chief of JI and president district bar association Haripur.
Siraj was accompanied by provincial chief of his party Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and district chief Gazan Iqbal Khan. According to the JI chief, each election just brings in new faces but the system does not change. “JI is the only political party which has an honest leadership that is not corrupt,” he said. “We will change the system in real terms.”
Commenting on the performance of the federal government, Siraj said it lacked the vision of change due to which policies had remained stagnant during the last three years.
“The PML-N government’s policies are a continuation of PPP’s policies and nothing else,” he added.

About genocide in Kashmir, he said JI would start a march from Rawalpindi on July 24. “On July 29, we will hold an all-parties conference on the Kashmir issue,” he added.
