One piece three ways: Zainab Chottani For Lsm Fabrics

Three fashionistas show us how to put together an item from a designers collection

While trends fade, style remains eternal and one piece can be put together in many different ways. In this feature we have three fashionistas showing us how to put together an item from a designers collection, according to their own individual style and taste!

This luxury, Victorian inspired, ice-blue fabric is the perfect choice for daywear this summer. It gives a casual yet preppy vibe, but can easily be transformed into a formal outfit as well. The cool-blue chiffon has lilac and silver thread work on it, embroidered in beautiful floral motifs. According to the designer, this fabric is the perfect addition of pastel hues to your wardrobe this summer.

Zainab Chottani stitched the beautiful light blue chiffon material into a kurta. I felt it was best to go simple with this heavily detailed outfit, and styled it by adding lilac silk pants with intricate net work to match the embroidery on the fabric. Then I wore my classic nude peep-toe Louboutins. The only piece of jewellery that I added to this outfit was a pair of cocktail earrings. Sabs Salon did my hair and make-up, giving me classic eyes with a deep pink lipstick and a voluminous blow-dry. I would wear this outfit to a day wedding.

I went for an extremely casual look, wearing my distressed jeans from American Eagle, a white tank top, and my white Coach sneakers. I opened up the kaftan and wore it like a long jacket. I then added my Versace sunnies to complete the look! Sabs Salon did my hair and make-up. They went for a light day-look, which I loved as I think it went really well with my outfit — they straightened my hair and held it back using pins for some depth and volume. I accessorised with just a Swarovski bracelet.

I loved the summery and cool colours in this Zainab Chottani piece. I did an all-white look to stay true to my simple-chic style. I wore a white tank top tucked into skinny white jeans from Mango. I then belted the kaftan using a thin black leather belt, allowing me to take away from its length, and wear it like a tunic instead. I wore white strappy heels from Charles and Keith and accessorised with pearl tops and rings. I got my hair and make-up done from Zara’s Salon by Rizwana Khan. They gave me smoky eyes, using shades of brown and a light pink lipstick. To finish, they added a lot of shimmer and went for a classic blow-dry. I completed my look by carrying my grey Sac Du Jour by YSL. I would wear this to a formal brunch in the day.
