KARACHI: With the festive season dawning upon us, preparations are in full swing. From running to the tailor to get clothes done and booking parlour appointments to getting new décor for the house, with so much going on, we often forget to treat our hair and prepare it for the busy days ahead. While some of us may splurge into expensive salon treatments to get one set hairstyle for the festivities, many of us like to keep it simple and spend less time on doing complicated up dos. Here is a list of a few quick hairstyles you could make on-the-go:

Wavy beach hair

Wavy beach hair is a summer must and you can get the look without even having to go out to the shore during soaring temperatures. All you have to do is slightly dampen your hair and braid sections of it and simply sleep on it. The loose curls will set in overnight. When you are ready to head out just open the braids and comb them once to untangle. Apply hairspray if you want them to stay throughout the day.

Half-crown French braid

For most of us, French braids are our go-to hairstyles as it keeps our long locks in one place, meanwhile making us look effortlessly chic. Although sometimes the same look can set-off a boring appeal but by adding extra little details, we can refresh the look. Just part your hair to the side you most often carry. French braid that side all the way towards the end of your lock. Add a stylish barrette to the other side for an edgy look.

Buns all the way

Nothing screams classy louder than a pulled up bun. While you may want to opt for the usual chignons or French twist, adding layers to the mainstream look will give your hair a much needed volume that is often lost in up-dos. All you have to do is, instead of one messy bun tie three of them at the nape of your neck. Make sure to not tie them up tight, leave it loose. If you are one for extra details, add a flower on one side and sashay your way to the greeting loved ones on Eid.
