Misconduct: Action sought against traffic warden

Our Correspondent July 02, 2016

LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Cantt SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking a case against a traffic warden for snatching money from him. Nayyar Hussain submitted that he was driving one of his cousins to the airport when traffic warden Nadir stopped them and asked for papers. He said the warden then pointed out that he had not fastened the seat belt. “I told him that I cannot fasten the belt owing to a breathing problem. He got angry and threatened me with dire consequences.” He said Nadir also snatched Rs15,000 from him and told him to leave. Hussain said he had requested the SHO to take action against the warden but he had done nothing in this regard. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against the warden.
