In custody: PEPCO ex-chief’s remand extended
NAB Prosecutor told the court that the men had illegally recruited 500 people to Gepco despite a ban on hiring
LAHORE:
An accountability court on Thursday extended physical remand of Tahir Basharat Cheema, former managing director of Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), former CEO Muhammad Ibrahim Majoka, and former HR director of Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) Hashmat Ali Kazmi for two weeks. Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials produced the men before the accountability court. NAB Prosecutor Waris Ali told the court that the men had illegally recruited 500 people to Gepco despite a ban on hiring.
