Exhibiting talent: UoP organises annual art degree show 2016

Dr Muhammad Rasul also announced the establishment of a display centre for students of the art and design department

PESHAWAR: At least 13 thesis were put on display at the annual art and design degree show 2016 at University of Peshawar. The initiative was organised by the varsity’s art and design department on Thursday.

This year featured the work of textile and communication designers where students mainly focused on splendour of indigenous and global arts and culture of Swat woodwork, Turkish Art, Moroccan ceramics and rose window of gothic architecture.

UoP Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan inaugurated the exhibition at the community centre of the varsity. In his address, he said students were an asset to the country and their skills must be honed to provide them with opportunities in their professional life.

He also announced the establishment of a display centre for students of the art and design department to enhance the academia industry linkages.
