More than 60 stalls of different institutions were set up, including Baqai Medical University, Iqra University, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Fatima Jinnah Dental College, Pakistan Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, AmanTech, Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan.
On the other hand, Oxford University Press and the United States Educational Foundation Pakistan had also set up their stalls to help the students. The expo was inaugurated by Higher Education Commission's former head, Prof Dr Attaur Rahman, with the message to promote higher education. The career expo attracted students, parents and teachers to create awareness about the education opportunities and fields in the country.

The main attraction on the first day was 'IKNOWvation lab' stall set up at the entrance of the main hall with the slogan of 'Design, Develop, Debug and Deploy'.
IKNOWvation lab offers a virtual robotoc kit, which works the same as real-time robotic kit, revealed its CEO Ammarah Khalid. It is the first time in Pakistan that a virtual robotic kit has been introduced. "The kit costs only Rs6,000 as their introductory price while the real-time robotic kit costs somewhere between Rs80,000 and 120,000," she added.
Khalid who is looking after the project in Pakistan, said that the kit can be used by students of not only engineering but by doctors and other professionals too. "Through this kit you can design your own robot, set up your challenge in the second step and can also deploy in the system too," she explained.
IKNOWvation lab will be starting their training for the kit in the first week of June in Dolmen Mall, Clifton, at the Apple store. "The best part of the application is that it has lifetime licensing and its yearly up gradation is free of charge while it works on both Apple computers and a simple computer too," Khalid added.

The kit will be helpful for children in enhancing their analytical and problem solving skills and allow them to think out-of-the-box, remarked IKNOWvation lab, Malaysia, chairperson Uzair Khan.
Job hunt
Another stall that attracted visitors' attention was of Rozee.pk. With more than 49,000 companies on board all over from Pakistan they have more than 7 million curriculum vitaes (CV) of candidates on their website, revealed the company's telesales marketing manager, Zaheer Khan.
"We have given a special offer of 50% discount of premium membership only for Saturday," he said, adding that this membership helps candidates' CV to be in the top five for six months which can help human resource managers find them easily on the portal.
