PESHAWAR: A resident of Darra Adam Khel, Frontier Region Kohat has requested Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the chief ministers of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab to help him arrange funds to have his son treated abroad.

Mustafa Kamal told The Express Tribune his son was critically wounded in a militant attack in August 2014.

“I have been involved in the arms business for a long time,” he said. “A few years ago, militants had demanded extortion from my family.”

Kamal added he refused to pay the money. As a result, militants attacked his 20-year-old son Rohail Hussain while he was on his way to college.

“The militants opened fire on my son in August 2014,” he said. “I have spent a considerable amount of money on my son’s treatment.”

However, doctors have advised him to take his son abroad for proper treatment.
