At last: Three proclaimed offenders arrested  

Balighur Rehman on Tuesday told the Senate that 4,043 proclaimed offenders were still at large

ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested three proclaimed offenders wanted in cases of theft, cheque fraud and damage due by reckless driving. The proclaimed offenders who have been arrested include Sadaqat Baig, who is wanted to Industrial Area police in a cheque fraud case registered in 2013. Inam, who is wanted to Ramna police for causing damage to property through rash driving; and Wahdat, who was wanted to Margalla police in a theft case registered in 2013. Further investigation is under way in all three cases. Minister of State for Interior Balighur Rehman on Tuesday told the Senate that 4,043 proclaimed offenders were still at large in Islamabad. He said that the police were paying special attention to pending cases.
