During a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Muqam slammed PTI Chairperson Imran Khan and Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq for playing the blame game. He said ministers from both parties were involved in corruption.
He also criticised Chief Minister Pervez Khattak for the judicial enquiry in the BoK corruption case. “If a government organisation publishes an advertisement against its own minister, there is no need for the department to hold a judicial enquiry. He suggested the government resign on moral grounds. He said that for the first time in the history of Pakistan, a government institute accused its own minister of using government funds for personal purposes.
Muqam said JI and PTI blamed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz but ignored their own corruption. He added BoK is not JI’s property and slammed the party for holding public congregations.
He said Siraj and Imran should answer to the allegations.
