New transfers: District South gets a new DIG

Shaikh was currently serving as traffic DIG in Hyderabad

Sindh police department issued notifications regarding the transfers and posting of police officials on Thursday.


A grade-20 officer of Police Service of Pakistan, Munir Shaikh, was transferred and posted as DIG of District South, Karachi, replacing former DIG Dr Jamil Ahmed. Shaikh was currently serving as traffic DIG in Hyderabad. Ahmed has been posted to Shaikh's former post now.


Besides the high ranking police officials' were reshuffled and more officials, ranking from DSP to SP, were also transferred. According to a notification, SP Akhtar Hussain Chandio has now been posted as ADIG in Sukkur Range, DSP Farhat Kamal Khan has been posted as Ferozabad DSP, Preedy traffic DSP Imran Ahmed Khan is now Garden traffic DSP.


However, the transfer order of Pano Aqil, Sukkur, DSP Liaquat Ali Abbasi to become Moro, Naushero Feroz, DSP was cancelled.
