KARACHI:

Darakhshan police station has been informed to help investigators in arresting Anis Kaimkhani, an absconder in Dr Asim Hussain’s terror facilitation case, investigation officer DSP Altaf Hussain told The Express Tribune. At least one police van remains parked outside the bungalow in Defence Housing Authority Phase V, where Kaimkhani reportedly lives since his return to the country on March 3. Since then, he is holding press conferences and moving around the province to open offices of his new Pak Sarzameen Party but apparently remains beyond the clutches of law. Since his return to Pakistan, the ATC-II has issued non-bailable warrants of arrest for him thrice. On the other hand, Darakhshan SHO Amjad denied receiving any such orders and said that his police station was not providing security to the accused. “The guards out there are from the police’s security unit,” he said.
