Nowhere to go: Police recover mute woman, child

The spokesperson said the woman and the child were produced before a court on Friday and moved to Darul Amaan

FAISALABAD: A mute woman and one-year-old girl were found lying unconscious by Nishatabad police on Saturday. Police spokesman Amir Waheed told newsmen that someone informed them that a young woman and a one-year-old girl had been spotted lying unconscious at Sargodha Road near MCB Bank on Nalka Kohala Chowk. He said a team headed by Sub Inspector Muhammad Ali of Nishatabad police station took the woman and girl to Faisalabad Allied Hospital. The spokesman said when the woman woke up, they found that she was a mute and unable to provide information about her residence. He said the woman and the child were produced before a court on Friday and moved to Darul Amaan in Ghulam Muhammadabad on the magistrate’s order.
