Artillery regiment corps produces 239 recruits

Parade held for graduating recruits who completed training at Panu Aqil to join the Pakistan Army.

SUKKUR: The Corps of Artillery Regiment, Sindh, held a graduation parade for the 239 recruits who completed their training at Panu Aqil to join the Pakistan Army.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah was the chief guest at the passing-out ceremony. He was welcomed by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Zahir ul Islam and General Officer Commanding Major General Nasrullah Tahir Dogar.

The chief minister reviewed the parade and gave away prizes to outstanding recruits. Muhammad Ali was declared to be the best recruit. He also announced a special grant of Rs20 million to upgrade the schools of Pano Aqil’s garrison and the surrounding areas.

More than 300 recruits were also sent to Corps of Artillery from the Pano Aqil garrison last year.

A large number of civil and military dignitaries, retired army officers, civilians, junior commissioned officers, jawaans, students and relatives of the newly inducted recruits witnessed the parade.
