On December 2, Pakistan hanged four men linked to the Taliban’s massacre of more than 130 schoolchildren at Army Public School in Peshawar in December 2014. This was the first such sentence endorsed by the army chief after an order of the Supreme Court on August 2015 which gave legal cover to the establishment of military courts.
