PESHAWAR: A leather village will be established on 32 kanals of land in Charsadda. This was stated in a handout issued on Thursday. The announcement was made by Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Industries Abdul Karim Khan during a meeting to review the performance of the industries department. The leather village will give a boost to the leather industry in the district. As per the handout, the special assistant said his department is also working on establishing a display centre in Islamabad where the goods manufactured in the province will be exhibited. “The government will soon conduct a workshop to find solutions to problems faced by the traders in both Afghanistan and Pakistan,” read the document. “It will devise a mechanism to resolve their grievances.”
