Motorbike Desert Rally winds up

Abid Sher stood first in the 9th Motorbike Desert Rally successfully defending his title.


The three-day Fareed Festival Motorbike Desert Rally at Derawar Fort came to a close on Thursday.

The motorcycles registered for the rally were divided into two categories, CG-125 and CD-70, and 22 motorcyclists participated in it. Four motorcyclists participated in the second category (CD-70) and 18 motorcyclists participated in the first category.

Cholistan Jeep Rally begins

The track for the first category was 86 kilometres long and the track for the second category was 35 kilometres.

In the first category, Abid Sher, a resident of Sadiqabad, covered the distance in 1 hour and 1 second and clinched first position. Malik Sardar Muhammad of Mithra Bangla clinched second position by covering the track in 1 hour 36 seconds. Muhammad Farhan of Sadiqabad stood third. He completed the race in 1 hour 2 minutes and 4 seconds.

Love of racing: Cholistan Jeep Rally concludes

In the second category, Gohar Ali of Sadiqabad completed the race in 22 minutes and 44 seconds and stood first. Sadiq Hussain of Tailwala stood second by covering the track in 23 minutes and 4 seconds. Khadim Hussain of Sadiqabad completed it in 24 minutes and 12 seconds and stood third. Bikers Mukaram Khan Tareen and Raees Ehsan ul Haq, Atlas Honda’s Mueed Iftikhar and Jameel Bhatti distributed prizes among the winners.
