SUKKUR:

Kamber-Shahdadkot police rescued a woman from Peerunmal near Sanghar on Monday, nine months after she went missing.

The woman, Aisha, wife of Ahmed Choliyani, and her son, Abdul Jabbar, 5, was kidnapped from her house in Warah on May 16, 2015. Her husband had registered an FIR with Warah police against four suspects. However, when police failed to arrest them, he filed a petition at the Sindh High Court, Larkana. The police still failed to recover Aisha.

They raided a house in Perunmal on a tip-off and rescued Aisha and her son on Monday. A suspect, Liaquat Ali Chandio, was also held.

On Tuesday, Aisha was produced at SHC's Larkana bench where she recorded her statement. She claimed Chandio had abducted her. After the hearing, she was allowed to go with her husband, said Warah SHO Karim Bux Chandio.
