Airbus revises up 2015 orders after last-minute order

Airbus's book for 2015 now stands at 1,080 aircraft orders, worth $141.6 billion at list prices

PARIS: Airbus revised upwards its 2015 net aircraft order book on Tuesday after it received orders very late in December.

Including the 44 last-minute orders, Airbus's book for 2015 now stands at 1,080 aircraft orders, worth $141.6 billion at list prices.

Without counting cancellations, Airbus said that it had a gross 1,190 orders for 2015 worth $159.9 billion.

The planemaker also announced 16 new orders from January, including 14 A330neo, the new version of its long-haul A330-900, and two medium haul A320 aircraft alongside 22 January deliveries.

Airbus unveiled its 20-year Asia forecasts as the Singapore Airshow opened and estimated the region will need 12,800 new jets over the period worth some $2,000 billion.
