While addressing a ceremony to pay tribute to late EPI Coordinator Swabi Dr Yaqoob Khan on Thursday, Khattak said as compared to 2014, there was a 70% decline in polio cases.
Dr Yaqoob was gunned down on November 30, 2015 due to his services for eradication of polio.
The chief minister said Dr Yaqoob was a committed officer, and also lauded the role played by Rotary, WHO, UNICEF, and other partners in polio eradication.
