Elkind joined Pakistan’s ministries to announce the launch of a $3 million multi-agency technical assistance programme

ISLAMABAD: The US-Pakistan partnership in energy sector will develop 3,000 MW through private sector investment in clean energy generation, directly benefitting more than 30 million Pakistanis, said the US Department of Energy Assistant Secretary for International Affairs Jonathan Elkind, according to a US Embassy statement. Elkind joined Pakistan’s ministries to announce the launch of a $3 million multi-agency technical assistance programme designed to support Pakistan’s energy development efforts. The ministries of Planning, Development and Reform; Water and Power; and Petroleum and Natural Resources would be partner of the three-year programme, conducted in partnership with the USAID. It will bring US and Pakistan experts together to develop strategies for energy planning.
