MARDAN: A 12-year-old injured in the attack on the NADRA office in Mardan succumbed to his injuries at Mardan Medical Complex Saturday evening. Hashim Khan had fallen victim to the militant attack on December 29, 2015 that left over 20 dead and more than 50 people injured. The boy was in critical condition, therefore doctors at MMC referred him to Lady Reading Hospital, due to lack of proper resources. However, LRH sent him back to MMC, refusing to treat the boy citing lack of equipment at LRH. Mardan DC Imran Sheikh had given a cheque of Rs0.2 million to Hashim’s family when he was injured and under treatment.
