Project Assistance: Tour highlights Japanese contribution

The team visited two projects and project-related sites which included the Landhi Cattle Colony

ISLAMABAD: The embassy of Japan in Islamabad and Consulate General of Japan in Karachi jointly organised a press tour in Karachi in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica), in which journalists from newspapers and TV channels participated. The purpose of the tour was to increase awareness of Japanese government’s assistance for projects in Pakistan. Furthermore, it was also intended to inform people about the contribution of Japan to improving Pakistan’s development in various areas. The team visited two projects and project-related sites which included the Landhi Cattle Colony to show the concept of the Jica project Sustainable Livestock Development for Rural Sindh and the head office of NGO Aman Foundation, which had been provided with two ambulances by the Consulate General under the Grant Assistance for Grass Roots Human Security Project.
