Ali's manager confirmed to The Express Tribune, that the Pakistani singer will be seen in the Shah Rukh-Alia starrer. What's more? He will be romancing the young star in the film.
The film's star cast also includes Rang De Basanti actor Kunal Kapoor in Gauri Shinde’s latest directorial.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, SRK had spilled the beans on his role in the upcoming film and said, “It is not a typical love story nor is there a hero role but I find Gauri’s filmmaking interesting. I may have a lesser part — not in terms of timing on screen but as a lover — but it’s an interesting role.”
Shooting for the film began Jan 21st. Film's director Shinde and co-producer KJo could hardly contain their excitement.

Film with Alia not a 'typical love story', says Shah Rukh
The starlet just finished wrapping up her shoot for Kapoor and Sons alongside Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan, only to be wooed by Pakistani rock star Ali Zafar, and let's not forget, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan.
