At least six Afghan nationals were arrested from Bannu city on charges of possessing fake computerised national identity cards on Sunday.
City SHO Gul Hameed Khan told The Express Tribune the suspects were identified as Naqeebullah, Haibatullah and Abdul Baseer. He added the names of the other three could not be ascertained.
Hameed also said the CNICs had Naqeebullah as Haji Gul and Haibatullah
as Talib Khan.
According to Hameed, the suspects were helped by locals in getting the CNICs through fraudulent means and action would be taken against the responsible persons.
