LAHORE: Justice Ayesha A Malik of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday reserved the verdict on a petition against the vaccination of buffaloes to enhance milk production. Asif Mahmood Cheema, counsel for the petitioner, claimed that oxytocin was being administered to buffaloes across the city to produce more milk. He said the medication had harmful effects on animals as well as those consuming the milk. He accused some health department officials of minting money with the sale of the injections. He requested the court to order a ban on the sale of the injection.
