Demolishing houses: Jirga held in Ghallanai

The list contains 14 suspects from Hamza Khel, six from Wali Baig and two from Kadi Khel subtribes

SHABQADAR: The Ghallanai political administration handed over a list containing names of 22 people suspected of militancy to a jirga in Haleemzai, Mohmand Agency. The jirga plans to demolish houses of the “suspects”, starting Monday, under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation. Upper Mohmand Assistant Political Agent Hassebur Rehman Khalil handed over the list to the elders of Haleemzai tribe at the Ghallanai headquarters on Wednesday. Khalil said, “These 22 men were suspected to be involved in militant activity in the agency.” The list contains 14 suspects from Hamza Khel, six from Wali Baig and two from Kadi Khel subtribes.
