KARACHI: You no longer have to suffer through the hassle of online transactions to find your Mary-Lou Manizer or Hot Mama as their maker, theBalm, has finally decided to launch in Pakistan.

Founded in 2004 by makeup enthusiast Marissa Shipman, theBalm aims to provide "glamour, excitement and innovation" to customers in a cost-effective way.

Contouring the colour palette

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Adeel Feroz, Brand Development and Marketing Manager of the brand, highlighted the need to venture into the local market. “TheBalm is already popular in Pakistan and after test-marketing we realised that it has a huge demand.”

“As these products were not previously available locally, a lot of buyers had to travel abroad or order them online. Thus to save them time and money, we thought of bringing the brand here,” he added.

He said their slogan ‘Beauty in 5 minutes’ is the key philosophy behind the brand. “We seek to provide quick beauty solutions for every beauty need with a wide range of makeup products,” he explained.

“Our products will be available at Scentsation, Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karachi. We will also be launching our brand in Islamabad before moving on to other cities,” said Adeel. Furthermore, their products will be stocked at all leading salons across the metropolis.

Their wide range of paraben and cruelty-free products, including best sellers Shady LadySchwing EyelinerNude Tude and Read My Lips, will be available in Islamabad shortly.

Apart from the quirky product names, the brand's fun and fanciful packaging with eye-catching designs has become one of the standout factors which attracts women.

Top model and actress Sarwat Gilani shared her love for their packaging and easy-to-carry products. "TheBalm cosmetics are as cool as the packaging. The small and compact packaging make it convenient to carry," she said.



The makeup label is all prepped to launch at Dolmen Mall, Karachi on January 4.
