Public health: Child suspected of diphtheria dies

The hospital had yet to receive report of samples sent to the NIH for diagnosis

FAISALABAD: A child believed to be suffering from diphtheria died on Saturday at Allied Hospital for over 10 days. Allied Hospital focal person Masooma Sardar said Zahid Rasool, 4, had been brought to the hospital with severe throat pain on December 20, 2015. The hospital had yet to receive report of samples sent to the NIH for diagnosis.
