A jirga was held in the village within Bahoo Khoso police station limits under the presidentship of Manzoor Ahmed Essani, to resolve a karo-kari dispute between two groups of the community. Besides the two groups, including Muhammad Nawaz Essani and Mir Hazar Essani, a large number of residents were reportedly present at the jirga.

After hearing both the parties, the jirga announced its verdict and declared Mehrab, son of Muhammad Nawaz Essani, as karo and imposed a fine of Rs500,000 on him. The groups accepted the final decision of the jirga and Mehrab's father paid Rs100,000 on spot and promised to pay the remaining amount within next two months.
However, Jacobabad SSP Sajid Khokhar took notice and ordered Bahoo Khoso police station SHO Jameel Chandio to lodge an FIR against the responsible persons and to arrest them.
The SHO registered an FIR against eight persons, including Manzoor Ahmed Essani, Muhammad Nawaz Essani, Mir Hazar Essani, Ameer Bux Essani, Baqa Muhammad Essani and others.

Out of the eight suspects, police have taken Ameer and Baqa into custody, while others are still at large. The SHO confirmed the arrests and said that raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining accused.
The fued between the families began when Mir Hazar declared Mehrab as karo with his wife, Ameeran Khatoon, one-and-a-half years ago and threatened to kill him. Owing to the death threats, Mehrab's family moved from the village to Naudero but Mir Hazar kept pressurising Mehrab's father to settle the dispute or to face the consequences. Succumbing to the pressure, his father consented to resolve the matter, after which a jirga was held in the village.
