Women dominate Hollywood's top 10 most valued actors of 2015 list

You'll be surprised to know which Hollywood actor failed to deliver at the box office this year

In recent months, top Hollywood actresses have been voicing concerns over the gender-based wage gap in the industry, and as it turns out, they performed better than their male counterparts at the box office this year.

Chris Evans may have beaten everyone on the Forbes Best Value Actors 2015 list, but the top four spots after him were claimed by women, with Mila Kunis returning $87.30 for every $1 she was paid per film.

She was closely followed by Scarlett Johansson ($84.90) and Gwyneth Paltrow at ($82.90). Emma Stone lagged behind at $54, but still managed to grab the fourth position.

Jennifer Lawrence, who recently made it to Hollywood’s high earning category, fell in at eighth place ($39.10), under Chris Hemsworth ($42.10) and Vin Diesel ($40.30).

The Hunger Games star was followed by Mark Wahlberg ($37.90) and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson ($28.10).



Forbes magazine also released the Most Overpaid Actors 2015 list, which was topped, surprisingly, by one of the most versatile actors in today's age, Johnny Depp ($1.20), who failed to deliver at the box office this year.
