KARACHI: The Joint Action Committee of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) employees staged a 10-hour-long sit-in at the air carrier’s head office. The employees gathered outside the head office of the airline, where they protested and shouted slogans against the airline’s privatisation ordinance. The head of Pakistan Airlines Cabin Crew Association (PACCA), Nasrullah Khan Afridi, said, “We locked up the head office and will not let anyone enter the premises of the office.” He said that it was getting tough for them to control the violent employees. Daniyal Gillani, the spokesperson of PIA, said that flight timings were as per the schedule and no flights were delayed. “[However], no one could enter the head office because of the protest outside,” he said.
