Fayaz’s funeral prayer was attended by a large number of people from different walks of life, including Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi, and Special Assistant to Chief Minister Abdul Karim Khan. Swabi district nazim Haji Amir Rahman Khan, tehsil nazim Ghulam Haqqani, Senator Abdul Nabi Bangash, former MPA Mukhtiar Ali, education director Syed Bashir Hussain Shah and others attended his funeral.
Pakistan blind team captain treated, released from hospital
Fayaz was an internationally recognised cricketer. He remained a member of the national blind cricket team for a couple of years and won a gold medal for his outstanding performance in international matches, notably one in 2009 in England. He also bagged the Special Olympics gold medal in badminton in Peshawar.
Fayaz was the son of a retired educationist, Muhammad Hussain. His younger brother Muhammad Asif is currently serving as the private secretary to district nazim Amir Rahman Khan.
