Keeping an eye out: CCTV cameras for banks, plazas and markets

Gujranwala RPO directs all officials to ensure that CCTV cameras and advanced video recording equipment is installed.

SIALKOT: Gujranwala Regional Police Officer (RPO) Tariq Masud Yaseen has directed all the district police officers (DPOs) and Sub-divisional police officers (SDPOs) to ensure that close circuit television cameras (CCTV) and advanced video recording equipment is installed at different areas in the district. Yaseen said that CCTV cameras were required in all banks, business and trade centers, ATMs, bazaars and at mosques and shrines in the district. The RPO also ordered that police officials needed to ensure that the Shops & Establishment (Security) Ordinance was fully implemented to maintain peace in the district.

Yaseen issued these directions while presiding over a high level meeting of senior police officials on Friday. Sialkot district police officer (DPO) Bilal Siddique Kamiyaana, Superintendent Police (SP) (Investigation) Muhammad Nasir Qureshi, Additional SP  Zahid Mehmood Gondal, DSP Saddar Raja Sadaqat Ali and senior members of the Sialkot District Peace Committee  urged trade, business and industrial circles to help the police in promoting these policies.
