PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has initiated a comprehensive plan to provide clean drinking water to the people of all K-P districts in different phases.

In the first phase, according to a statement issued on Monday, the dwellers of Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, Tank and Karak would be facilitated and water filtration plants and tube wells would be installed in all the village councils of the districts.

This was revealed in a briefing of K-P Public Health Engineering Department given to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan at Bani Gala, Islamabad.

K-P Minister for Public Health Engineering Shah Farman, WHO Country Head Dr Michel Thieren, WHO Coordinators and high-ups of PHE Department were present in the briefing.
