MELBOURNE: This is apropos Asad Rahim Khan’s article of January 7 “Fascism goes global”. I feel that the young writer’s comments about Narendra Modi do not correspond to facts.
The truth is that Modi has undergone the most intense scrutiny by the Indian criminal justice system and has come out clean. There are currently no cases against him in any Indian court. The young writer must be careful about flinging mud against blameless people and do more in-depth research before taking a stance on issues. As regards the situation in Europe, that continent is at present undergoing a severe economic downturn and local people are finding it very difficult to get jobs so some feelings against foreign immigrants from distant cultures and countries are inevitable.
