Reports link Chirayu Rana to JPMorgan lawsuit as 'John Doe', alleged victim who filed complaint against Lorna Hajdini

Chirayu Rana, a 35-year-old investment professional, has been identified in reports as the individual behind a lawsuit filed against JPMorgan executive director Lorna Hajdini.

The case, lodged in April 2026 in the New York County Supreme Court, has drawn attention to allegations of workplace misconduct and abuse of power.

Rana, currently a principal at private equity firm Bregal Sagemount, previously worked at JPMorgan in its leveraged finance team.

His professional background includes roles at Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, and The Carlyle Group. He holds a degree in finance from Rutgers Business School.

The lawsuit, filed under the pseudonym ‘John Doe’, accuses Hajdini of sexual assault, racial harassment, and professional coercion. According to the complaint, the alleged conduct began shortly after Rana joined JPMorgan in 2024.

However, the identification of Rana as ‘John Doe’ remains contested. Reports citing unnamed sources have suggested his involvement, but emphasise that this has not been officially confirmed.

JPMorgan has denied the allegations, stating that an internal investigation found no evidence to support the claims. A spokesperson said the complainant declined to participate in the inquiry. Hajdini has also rejected the accusations, stating she “categorically denies the allegations” and disputes the events described.

The case continues without a confirmed trial date, with both sides maintaining opposing accounts of the events.

Prosecutors allege D4vd bought items including chainsaws, a body bag and a shovel after the 14-year-old's death

A court filing details allegations that US singer D4vd purchased tools online after prosecutors say he fatally stabbed a teenage girl.

Prosecutors allege the singer, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, bought items including chainsaws, a body bag and a shovel in the days following the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

Her dismembered body was later found in his car.

According to the filing, Burke met the girl when she was 11 and is accused of beginning sexual abuse when she was 13 and he was 18.

Prosecutors claim she sent messages threatening to reveal their relationship and “destroy his life” before she was killed.

Burke has pleaded not guilty. His attorneys said they “will vigorously defend David's innocence” and believe “the evidence will show that David did not kill Celeste”.

The court document alleges the teenager was stabbed multiple times at Burke’s home on April 23, 2025.

It further states that he used a fake name to make online purchases, including a “burn cage” and an inflatable pool, and planned to incinerate evidence.

Prosecutors also claim Burke ordered a car to bring the girl to his home and sent messages asking her location as part of an effort “to cover up the murder”.

Surveillance footage cited in the filing reportedly shows Burke as the last person to drive the vehicle where the body was discovered in September 2025.

During a court appearance on Wednesday, Burke spoke briefly, confirming he agreed to delay his preliminary hearing until late May.

His legal team sought to prevent the release of the filing, citing concerns over media attention and its impact on a fair trial.

Judge Charlaine Olmedo permitted its release while keeping some evidence sealed. Another hearing is scheduled for next month.

Social media discusses possible defamation case in light of JPMorgan calling claim against Lorna Hajdini 'fabrication'

Online discussions about potential legal consequences in the JPMorgan lawsuit involving Executive Director Lorna Hajdini have intensified following reports that an internal investigation found no evidence to support the allegations.

A New York Post report stated that the case, which gained widespread attention online, was described as a “complete fabrication” after an internal review by JPMorgan did not substantiate the claims.

The investigation reportedly included a review of emails, phone records, and other internal data, and concluded there was no evidence of misconduct.

In response to these developments, users on X have debated what legal action could follow if the allegations are proven false.

One post questioned whether the accuser, reportedly Chirayu Rana, could face consequences after potentially damaging Hajdini’s reputation.

Replies referenced defamation as a possible avenue, with one user describing it as “a published false statement made negligently (if a private citizen) or with actual malice (public figure).”

The same response added that the scale of online exposure could lead to significant reputational and emotional harm, even if economic damages are limited.

Another user stated that Hajdini “has a defamation claim (as well as a few other claims)” and argued that, as a private individual, she may not need to meet the higher legal threshold applied to public figures.

Some responses also extended the discussion to media coverage, with one user suggesting potential claims “against the media outlets that sensationalised the outlandish claims, as if they were true,” adding that “there’s no such thing as playing the ‘clickbait immunity’ card.”

While the lawsuit has drawn significant attention, no court has issued findings, and key aspects of the case, including the validity of the allegations, remain unconfirmed.

After Hajdini was accused of harassment, attention has also turned to former JPMorgan executive Vis Raghavan's conduct

A lawsuit against a senior JPMorgan executive has renewed scrutiny of workplace culture at the bank, with past allegations involving former executive Vis Raghavan also drawing attention, according to Financial Times.

The case filed in New York accuses Lorna Hajdini of sexual abuse, coercion and racial harassment towards a junior employee.

The complaint, brought under the pseudonym “John Doe,” alleges repeated non-consensual encounters and threats linked to career progression. JPMorgan has denied the claims following an internal review.

As the case unfolds, attention has also turned to earlier concerns surrounding former JPMorgan executive Vis Raghavan, whose conduct was allegedly questioned by colleagues.

People familiar with his behaviour claimed he could be seen to “explode” in his office and allegedly referred to employees as “a waste of calories”, “ignorant” and “inadequate”.

Two individuals said he described his leadership style as “grab them by the balls”, although a spokesperson for Raghavan denied he used language referring to genitals.

In a separate incident, JPMorgan’s human resources team was reportedly alerted after Raghavan made inappropriate remarks in front of junior employees at the bank’s Canary Wharf office.

According to those familiar with the situation, he allegedly recounted a story about a woman he had known as a student, stating that “she was fat”. Multiple attendees raised concerns, while Raghavan denied making the comments when questioned by HR.

Raghavan later moved to Citigroup in 2024 following a rapid leadership transition, securing a senior investment banking role within days of leaving JPMorgan.

The allegations against Hajdini include claims that she told the complainant, “If you don’t… comply, I’m going to ruin you… never forget, I… own you” alongside further accusations of intimidation and racial remarks.

The complainant also stated, “I’m very uncomfortable… please, I’m begging you.”

Legal proceedings in the Hajdini case are ongoing, with the plaintiff remaining anonymous.

JPMorgan disputes claims against Lorna Hajdini after internal review found no evidence supporting lawsuit allegations

JPMorgan has rejected allegations made in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against executive director Lorna Hajdini, stating that an internal investigation found no evidence to support the claims.

The case emerged earlier this week after a former JPMorgan employee, who sources identified as Chirayu Rana, filed a lawsuit under the pseudonym John Doe.

The complaint accused Hajdini, 37, of sexual coercion, abuse of power and retaliation while both worked within JPMorgan’s leveraged finance division.

Rana, now a principal at investment firm Bregal Sagemount, alleged that the conduct began shortly after he joined the bank’s team in spring 2024.

The lawsuit also named JPMorgan Chase as a defendant, claiming the bank failed to properly investigate the matter and retaliated against him.

Hajdini has denied the allegations through her legal representatives. In a statement, her lawyers said, “Lorna categorically denies the allegations. She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind and has never even been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place.”

JPMorgan also challenged the claims, citing findings from an internal review conducted by its human resources and legal departments. A spokesperson for the bank said, “Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims.”

The spokesperson added, “While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”

People close to the case have reported that Rana and Hajdini worked as colleagues but reported to different managing directors, meaning Hajdini had no authority over his compensation.

The court filing cited in reports was later withdrawn for corrections. No trial date has been set.

The lawsuit remains active, and the claims have not been tested in court. Both Hajdini and JPMorgan continue to dispute the allegations.

The 80-year-old actress has not appeared in a major project since 2020’s 'The Christmas Chronicles 2'

Goldie Hawn has explained her decision to step back from acting in recent years, citing a desire for meaningful work and a change in life priorities, according to People.

The 80-year-old actress, whose career spans decades of film and television, said she has not appeared in a major project since 2020’s The Christmas Chronicles 2.

She emphasised that her absence from the screen has been intentional rather than a lack of opportunity.

“It's about the content,” Goldie told People in an interview published April 29. “Acting for acting's sake, taking things… I've read a lot of shows, a lot of scripts that I didn't like or I didn't think I'd fit. The one thing about acting is that I've done it, and I had a great career, and I honor that.”

Hawn said her decision to reduce her acting commitments reflects a broader perspective on life and personal growth. “I think ultimately every life has to have its sections,” she noted.

“Doing the same thing over and over again for your whole life is not as interesting to me. And I decided at probably 55 or something. ‘What are you going to do for this next part of your life?' And I knew that there was more out there to learn and to do.”

Despite her break, Hawn indicated she remains open to returning to acting under the right circumstances.

“I would love to get a material that could actually be like, ‘Oh my God, I want this so bad,’” she explained. “‘This is so funny. She's so crazy. She's so interesting.' But I haven't come across it.”

She also suggested a potential project involving her family could be appealing. “It's such a great idea because we have so much talent,” she said. “Never say never, because that could happen at any time.”

Hawn and her partner Kurt Russell now spend much of their time in Colorado, where he described enjoying a quieter lifestyle in an interview,

An anonymous complainant, accused Hajdini of sexual abuse, coercion and racially charged harassment

A lawsuit filed in New York has brought renewed scrutiny to JPMorgan executive Lorna Hajdini, with attention also turning to her estimated net worth and career in finance.

The case, brought by an anonymous complainant identified as “John Doe,” accuses Hajdini of sexual abuse, coercion and racially charged harassment.

The allegations, which remain unproven, have placed the senior executive at the centre of a high-profile legal dispute.

As the proceedings continue, public interest has extended to Hajdini’s financial standing.

While no official figure is available, estimates based on industry benchmarks suggest her net worth may be several million dollars, reflecting her senior position in leveraged finance and years of experience in high-paying sectors.

Hajdini has reportedly spent more than a decade at JPMorgan, rising to Executive Director level. Compensation at this level in New York can exceed $200,000 annually, often supplemented by bonuses and stock-based incentives.

Her professional background also includes roles in investment management and private equity, as well as academic ties to New York University’s Stern School of Business and executive training at Harvard Business School.

The complaint outlines a series of allegations beginning in 2024, describing what the complainant characterises as escalating misconduct.

The filing includes claims of repeated unwanted advances and threats linked to career progression. In one instance, Hajdini is accused of saying: “If you don’t… comply, I’m going to ruin you… never forget, I… own you.”

Further allegations include non-consensual acts and intimidation. The complainant states: “I’m very uncomfortable… please… I’m begging you.”

Additional claims of racially derogatory remarks are also detailed in the lawsuit.

JPMorgan has denied the allegations following an internal review, stating it does not believe there is merit to the claims.

The legal process remains ongoing, with further developments expected as the case proceeds.

The rapper confirmed her breakup from the NBA player after accusing him of cheating

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has received public support on social media following her reported split from Klay Thompson, with even the official account of The Sims joining the response.

The social media account for the long-running video game franchise shared a post on X featuring a basketball-themed character standing in a kitchen surrounded by flames. The post was widely interpreted as a reference to the situation involving the artist.

If you can’t handle a Hottie❤️‍🔥 stay out of the kitchen😒 pic.twitter.com/ArerpSHvEH
— The Sims (@TheSims) April 27, 2026

The reaction followed allegations made by Megan on April 25 via Instagram Stories, in which she accused the Dallas Mavericks player of “cheating” and described experiencing his “horrible mood swings” during the basketball season.

In a statement provided through a representative, she confirmed the end of the relationship, stating, “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

The development comes during a busy period for Megan, who has been performing in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway. She became the first woman to take on the role of Zidler since the production opened in 2019. Following a recent performance, she was seen becoming emotional during the curtain call.

The rapper has since announced she will leave the production on May 1, earlier than initially planned.

The relationship between Megan and Thompson became public in July last year, when he accompanied her to a charity event hosted by her foundation.
