LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take action against a production house in connection with a petition by novelist Umera Ahmed. The petitioner alleged that Mastermind Productions had produced a soap based on her novel Thora sa Aasmaan without her permission. She said the production house had violated the law by “stealing” her novel. Ahmed called on the court to take action against Mastermind Productions in this regard. Justice Yawar Ali disposed of the petition after directing the FIA to take action on the novelist’s complaint.
