Nasirabad raid: FC arrested suspected militant

Acting on the tip-off, a team of FC raided a house in Bhag and arrested the suspect

The paramilitary Frontier Corps, Balochistan has arrested a suspected militant in Nasirabad district and recovered automatic weapons, ammunition and propaganda material from his possession.


“The accused has a million rupee bounty on his head,” FC spokesman said. He said that FC personnel had received intelligence reports that an insurgent was present in the Bhag area of the district close to the provincial border with Sindh.

Acting on the tip-off, a team of FC raided a house in Bhag and arrested the suspect.

The accused was wanted in many cases of heinous crimes, the FC spokesman said, though he did not mention the name of the detained person.

“The FC personnel recovered weapons, including three SMGs along with seven magazines, one rifle, 165 rounds and other material,” he said.

In another action, FC  troops seized 40,000 litres  of smuggled Iranian diesel near Quetta.
