Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which was released last week, has done record business at the box office.

Salman Khan's fans are obsessed with him, but who would've thought that one die-hard fan would give up his life after not being able to watch the megastar's film.

On the opening day of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP), a man in Indore committed suicide following a scuffle with the manager of a cinema.

According to Times of India, the man -- identified as Dharmendra Kushwaha -- got into a fight with the manager when he was denied PRDP tickets.

"The two exchanged verbal assaults and the matter escalated when the manager came to our house along with some of his friends and attacked Dharmendra," Times of India quoted Dharmendra's brother as saying.

Consequently, Dharmendra hung himself using his mother's saree. The body was discovered by his mother, who later called other family members for help. But it was too late to save his life. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
