Raising voices: Resolve teachers’ salaries issue, says JI

The JI leader was of the view that the affected teachers are victims of the corruption and mismanagement

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi amir Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the JI leadership supports the government teachers who have been deprived of their salaries due since three long years. He was talking to a delegation of the affected teachers at his office on Wednesday. The JI leader was of the view that the affected teachers are victims of the corruption and mismanagement within the Pakistan Peoples Party-led Sindh government. Earlier, the teachers’ delegation apprised the JI leader about the long-lasting issue and its effects on the affected families. Rehman assured the delegation that the JI will support them and agitated for them if needed. He lambasted the consecutive coalition governments in the province and held them responsible for the miseries of the affected teachers. What is the logic behind depriving teachers of their salaries when the government appointed them after due process and the teachers are working.
